A question from the Ravelry thread:

I’d like to make a shirt that looks like the night sky with fireworks, or maybe the Northern Lights. I think I could do it with maybe tie dye??? But the base shirt would have to be black or dark purple and then color put on it. Which would mean bleaching parts and then adding color? Or, would it be done another way? I’ve thought about using a batik method of using wax or glue to save light color spaces when over-dying with darker colors. Do you have any thoughts on that?
